Good lord life has been dramatic these last few weeks. It’s coming to an end finally, we’ll see. I’m not going to talk about it much but I will say that me and Ashlan have split ways after 6 years. It was not easy but I needed to move on. Nuff said!

Shops is going great, it’s slow season but we are managing to stay busy enough, but we could always be busier. We are currently remodeling Suite A to be the lobby/sitting area and retail area. We will have Brown Sock Company, People Eating Puppies, Wooglyar clothing and more. Custom shoes, custom jewelry of all kinds, not just body jewelry. It’s going to be sick so you should come check out the progress.

I’m dating a new girl that I dig alot named Destiny. But due to assholes causing me drama over it I’m not gonna mention it much more right now. She’s awesome though, loves pain as much as I do.

My apprentice Mike did his first 3 piercings for free on friends, and one on me this last two days. He’s got the normal apprentice shakes right now from nerves, but he’s doing really well and followed through with jewelry with no issues each time. He’s practicing on nostrils, basic cartilage, and ear lobes. If your down it’s free, 18 and up. I’m standing by gloved up and ready to jump in if something goes wrong.

Other than that now that I’m free to do so I have tattooed my face, something I’ve wanted to do since I was 17. I also started keeping venomous snakes again. I used to in the past but was not allowed to for the last several years. I currently have 3 baby western diamond back rattlers. Getting eyelash and temple vipers next. Loving it.

Selling my Albino Patternless Burmese Python, and my Sumatran Red Blood Python. The burm is over 10′ and u need experience with larger snakes, but he is dog tame. The blood is a blood, so she’s handlable if you know how, but will bite your ass if you don’t. email me if your interested. Super cheap prices. Moving out the non-venomous to replace with venomous. After an entire life of keeping reptiles, including over 100 species of lizard and snakes, I’m done with them. Moving on to bigger game.

I forgot about this site, lol. Been extremely fucking busy with the new shop, advertising, broke leg, etc… This broke leg is pissing me off more than anything though since I can’t work or get more done around the shop. Really driving me nuts.

I think we’re about to do a tattoo raffle at the shop, not sure on all the details though but I know the guys where saying something about $250 tattoo raffled off, so whos down for that? Yea I thought so… I’ll post info on modified-design.com when the time comes.

I’m selling the rest of my animals, not much left, 10′ albino patternless burmese python, sumatran red blood python, and one Sonoran Desert toad. If your interested in owning part of my collection let me know! I also have one giant ass custom built cage if your interested.

I purchased my first tattoo shop today! Tribal Nations Tattoo and Body Piercing is now owned by me, Rickey fuckin’ Wheeler. Expect lots of changes! We are cleaning house as I type this. The piercing room is being remodeled tonight and tomorrow, and every inch of the shop is getting remodeled over the next 2 months. The name is changing to Modified Design!

So if you have beef with Tribal, drop it, cause it’s gone. We are bringing in some serious artist that can lay down some sick ink, and I’ll be the piercer from now on. Come check us out! Please Excuse the mess!

Tomorrow morning I should be woke up by a delivery man holding the coolest package ever! The good people at Sterling Exotics are shipping my Purple Albino Reticulated Python hatchling, to me, over night of course. I’m freakin’ excited, feel like I’ve been waiting for one of these for years. Check out their site, lots of good stuff to see, and I built it so it rocks.

Anyways, I’m stoked. This is the big one, well not yet, but as it grows it will be the largest snake I’ve owned yet. Not to mention I’ve wanted a purple albino retic since they where $5,000 each, which finally the price has come down (probably not as exciting to the breeder, lol). This image to the right is Bob Clarks “Fluffy” (me and Ashlan with Fluffy) which is a Reticulated Python, and one of the largest ever at that. She comes in at 24 foot, and 310 pounds. But being albino and purple mine will look amazing like the top picture.

I’ll be using sliding glass balcony doors to build a walk-in cage in my basement for it, equipped with a pond and waterfall. It’s going to be the cage I’ve been dreaming about building for over a decade now. So excited!

I have a website… Damn I’ve been slacking…. Lets see, built a pond and waterfall, got my yard mostly landscaped, built a new privacy fence, got my brakes worked on and my oil changed, tattooed a bunch, got poison ivy, couldn’t tattoo while healing, back now, off tonight for the fourth of July….my friend Drew moved in with me and Ashlan for a little while, and finished healing my black work but haven’t added any more yet, found out one of the best tattoos I’ve ever done went horribly wrong after the owner got it infected, big bummer…now she’s mad at me some how, thats how tattooing goes though……. ok thats it, no pics for now, real update soon to follow.

So I’ve been considering a massive project for quite a few years now, I want to tattoo my left arm, maybe both, solid black, end the hands and shoulder area in a damask style, then either cut in with a scalpel or use white ink to do a damask design in the black ink, a subtle design. But it’s a tough choice, and a permanent one.

It’s actually been closer to 10 years that I’ve considered heavy black work. My first tattoo, the shield outline on my right forearm was going to be solid black. I’ve always liked the bold look of it, but I’ve seen plenty of solid black work that looked horrible, mostly do to lack of design.

So anyways, I have finally decided on the design for the shoulder and hand area (not gonna describe it or show sketches, you’ll just have to check back when it’s done, hand should be done soon) and yesterday I just decided it was the right time and went at it.

I did a little over 3 hours on my left forearm before I finally gave out. Tattooing your self solid black is not easy….but fun! No design is done yet, just working on the solid black. I’ll finish my forearm, get my hand done, and work my way up to the shoulder.

Obviously with this much black work I’ll get to do it all twice because it’s gonna need a touch up, lol. But oh well, I’m willing.

I’m already paying for it though, Ashlan is pissed! But whatever, I do what I do… I don’t expect 99% of people to comprehend it, but thats fine.

The best part of it all? I finally get to cover up the horribly executed tattoos on my left arm. Seriously, they suck, other than my hand who tattoo bob did, but I can’t leave it and have the rest black, so it goes too. I hate looking at these old tattoos. I seriously can’t say it enough, these tattoos are horrible, blown out lines, no depth or contrast at all, a complete lack of anything artistic, and obviously a complete lack of understanding tattooing. But whatever….they are disappearing now. And no, I didn’t do them.

Been meaning to update…I’ve been super busy on my truck this week. I installed a solenoid and switch in my truck on the driver side (will do passenger side soon), shaved the door handles on both sides, shaved the plastic cap on the tailgate (the bolt holes that where left over), and removed all side molding and badges. I also installed my new headlights that Salvador Olazaba hooked me up with. They are stock headlights that where opened and painted white inside instead of the black rim it once had. The now white corners still glow amber when on, awesomeness…

The truck is going to stay primered in those spots until I finish the tailgate, then my friend James Pecor is going to repaint them white. My grille is still off too because I’m still working like a slave to finish it. It’s taking only about 100 hours more than I thought it would, lol, but I love how it’s coming out. I’m going to get James to paint it too. This week I’m taking the nerf bars off, so if you want them hit me up, I’ll let them go cheap. Then I’m going to paint the mirrors to match, or shave them, still unsure.

Anyways, enough rambling about my truck, on to ink! I tattooed my friend Dustin’s calf with a skull-n-crossbones guitar. It’s the same guitar he owns, but he wanted it to have a skull on the body. His brother Jayce (creator of Woogylar) sent me a rough sketch of the idea and I took it from there. He was beyond stoked, and according to everyone that has seen it in person these pictures don’t do it justice. Next we’ll do a full background behind it of whatever the fuck I end up drawing on him, lol. I love tattooing!
